Read moreTarot cards are a set of elongated playing cards that are used for divination in various parts of Europe. Today, tarot is the most famous deck in cartomancy and, in general, one of the most famous divination methods.
The deck consists of seventy-eight cards divided into three categories: major arcana, minor arcana and court cards, i.e. cards with characters. The Major Arcana contains 22 playing cards, from the Fool (marked with zero) to the World (marked with the number 21), the cards are marked with Roman numerals. In these numbers, occultists find a certain symbolism by comparing the number of cards of the Major Arcana with the Hebrew alphabet, which consists of twenty-two letters. Tarot masters connect them with events and influences on a person’s life, that is, they say that these cards give a certain experience through which a person’s destiny can be seen.
